Iğdır University Faculty of Theology is one of the faculties of theology that provides higher education in the field of religious sciences in our country. Our faculty, which was opened in 2008, started education in the 2009-2010 Academic Year. It is a 4-year faculty and the language of education is Turkish. Our faculty aims to provide students with authentic religious knowledge and methods of using knowledge in the field of Islamic sciences and religious sciences. Academic courses are given by faculty members who are experts in the field. Full-time education is provided in the faculty. Iğdır University Faculty of Theology consists of three academic departments: Department of Fundamental Islamic Sciences, Department of Philosophy and Religious Sciences, and Department of Islamic History and Arts. The departments receive a diploma as a graduate of the faculty of theology by taking the relevant courses of the departments that provide the knowledge and equipment a theology student needs.

Post-Graduation Employment Opportunities

Students who graduate from our faculty can become muftis, assistant muftis, preachers, preachers, Quran course instructors, imams, muezzins in the central, provincial and overseas organizations of the Presidency of Religious Affairs; and Religious Culture and Ethics Course Teachers in primary and secondary schools under the Ministry of National Education. If they continue their postgraduate education, the door to becoming academic staff in the Faculties of Theology is also open to our students.
