Dean's Message

Dear Students,

Theological education and training has had an important place in the lives of all societies and nations throughout almost human history. Its role in the emergence of schools of thought, the formation of the order of human relations and the emergence of all kinds of system ideas cannot be denied. Theological education and training has always been important in the life of our nation, which has a long history of scientific tradition as well as its history. The Republic of Turkey, which was founded on the heritage of a deep-rooted civilization, has not neglected the field of theology and has taken religious education and training into account from the very beginning, and Imam-Hatip high schools at the secondary level and Faculties of Theology at the higher education level have taken their place in Turkish education as institutions of the Republic. Faculties of Theology serve the material and spiritual development of society and humanity by training teachers who will serve at the primary and high school levels, religious officials who have received higher education at every level of the Religious Affairs Organization, and by carrying out various scientific research and social activities.

You have reached an important stage in your education life after an intensive and laborious process. University education is a process of gaining professional knowledge, accumulation and experience as well as a process of preparing you for life... Iğdır Faculty of Theology, with its young, dynamic and talented teaching staff, is excited to prepare you, our students who come from every part of our country, for life and profession. With the improvements in our physical conditions, our students will continue their education in a more comfortable environment. Our primary goal as a faculty is to have our students become individuals who think, produce, question and follow scientific developments in the field of religious sciences. The realization of this goal depends on our students going through a good education process. I wish your choice to be beneficial for you and your family. God willing, you will graduate from the faculty as a successful and enlightened individual and serve humanity.
