İlahiyat Fakültesi Mezunumuz, "Kur’an-ı Kerim’i Güzel Okuma Yarışması"nda Türkiye 2.’si Oldu!
Ömer Faruk Mahmutoğlu, a graduate of our university’s Faculty of Theology ILITAM program and currently the muezzin of Istanbul’s Levent Barbaros Hayrettin Pasha Mosque, achieved great success by ranking 2nd in Turkey in the “Qur’an Recitation Contest” aired on TRT 1.
"The “9th Qur’an Recitation Contest Award Ceremony” was held at the Beştepe National Congress and Culture Center. The winners of the contest received their awards from President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Our University Rector, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Hakkı Alma, published a congratulatory message in recognition of Mahmutoğlu’s remarkable success, stating the following:
"“Our esteemed graduate from the Faculty of Theology ILITAM program, Ömer Faruk Mahmutoğlu, has made us proud by achieving second place in the Qur’an Recitation Contest held on TRT 1. I wish him continued success and hope that he will further develop his exceptional talent in Qur’anic recitation. As Iğdır University, we will continue to take pride in the accomplishments of our students across all fields.” Rector Alma also emphasized that they will continue to closely follow the achievements of their graduates and always support their academic and professional development.
